I tried this as well on a ring (pictured, before on bottom) that I’ve had forever, but haven’t worn in 10 years. Ran it through 5 cycles and now it’s SO sparkly, it almost hurts to look at. I just use warm water and a drop of dawn dish soap and then rinse off the item under the sink and it works great.
